I model, evaluate and design knowledge systems (broadly defined), with a special interest in questions about the quality, value and defensibility of information. Currently, I am an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, researching and designing systems of complex analysis in risk, intelligence and policy development.

I have used Prolog since 1986, when I was the support technician for the Australian distributor of Borland’s Turbo Prolog. I’ve continued writing in Prolog over the years, including using SWI-Prolog in my doctoral thesis on the applied ontology of competitive intelligence.
