I’ve been using SWI-Prolog as the central controller for a home automation system for over 15 years and I’ve recently rewritten it to use MQTT messages. While I may not be doing esoteric things in Prolog I like how it can be used to describe the response to various stimuli.

I have too many hobbies which include programming, network administration (Docker, virtual machines, Jenkins, git…), electronics (ESP8266, Arduino, Raspberry Pi), woodworking, woodturning, 3D printing, CNC, laser engraver. So I’m having the most fun when I build something out of wood or plastic, add electronics to it, then control it over my network with SWI-Prolog running in a Docker container, and yes I’m doing that.
