Fedora 44 ships with GCC 16. This is quite a step from GCC 15. Notably, PGO gives barely any improvement running the benchmarks it was trained on and seems to slow down other Prolog programs.
For short, it is advised to drop PGO builds if you are using GCC 16. That reduces the built-time and you get a faster result
