I have finally found a project where using the SWI-Prolog MCP server could be particularly beneficial.
I am developing a web-based UI and agent harness for dig.bench. The harness could benefit from allowing Codex to use SWI-Prolog as a symbolic reasoning engine to help discover, represent, and apply the games’ hidden rules.
I noticed that the current SWI-Prolog MCP implementation is based on MCP’s initial dated specification, 2024-11-05. Several revisions have since been published, with 2026-07-28 being the most recent.
Do you have any plans to update the implementation to a newer revision in the near future?
If not, and if my proof of concept works as expected, I may be willing to take a shot at updating it.
