Swipl-win on linux?

I’ve trying to install SWI Prolog on Ubuntu 22. There is SWI Prolog application in Ubuntu Software. It can be installed and it provides GUI version of swipl (swip-win I assume).

But I prefer to use apt install to get SWI Prolog. It works great, but unfortunately I can’t find swipl-win with that mode of installation. Maybe on linux it is named otherwise? Anyway, how I can use GUI swipl on Ubuntu with apt installation?

Thanks.

P.S. I have notices strange thing. From Ubuntu software I can get version 9, while apt package delivers only 8th version.

As is, the apt package does not provide swipl-win. That is surely possible but increases the dependencies a lot. For source it builds fine if you make sure the development packages for Qt5 or Qt6 are installed.

Could be it picks up the snap version as one source? That is at 9.x. The apt version is still at 8.x. Note that the snap version does provide swipl-win as swi-prolog.swipl-win.

Thanks for clarification. I was afraid I was doing something wrong because I’am new to Linux and it’s software management.

Nevenrmind, I’ve managed to do it
