hello i want to make 1 time donation via the sponsor link on swi-prolog.org , it leads to github where i can only pay with a creditcard, i do not have a credit card, maybe i can pay with paypal?

Unfortunately GitHub stopped supporting PayPal in 2023 as you can easily find using Google. I do not know a good solution. GitHub sponsors is (otherwise) quite well organized, dealing with all payments and providing a payout that satisfies all tax regulations while they charge nothing for it.
Larger or repeating sponsorship can be arranged outside GitHub. Within the EU that is fairly trivial. Outside, it varies by country. Please contact me using a private message to discuss the options.
If donations via PayPal are generally preferred, please let me know using a thumbs-up to this message. If there are sufficient reactions I can check whether there is another open source sponsorship broker that does process PayPal. Tips are of course welcome.
